Anthony “Blondie” Vitello, Sr., 90, of East Haven, husband of the late Inez Crandal Vitello, died July 22. Anthony was born April 19, 1923 in New Haven to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Dondell) Vitello.
He worked as a mason for most of his life and was the owner/operator of Elmwood Construction for 25 years.
He is survived by two sons Frank Vitello of Guilford and Anthony Vitello, Jr., and his wife Patty of East Haven; two daughters Elizabeth Vaillancourt and her husband Howard of Guilford and Inez Gargiulo of East Haven; a sister Rafalini “Raffie” Richello; six grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers John, Pasquale and Frank Vitello and four sisters Florence Hart, Rose Johnson, Mary Arnold and Margaret Santinelli.
The East Haven Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
