Old Saybrook — The owner of Mike’s Deli is due in court next week to answer to charges he made inappropriate sexual contact with three of his employees, according to police.

Michael Fowler, 55, of Kitteridge Hill Road, Old Saybrook, was arrested Friday on the strength of three arrest warrants and charged with one count of disorderly conduct and seven counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, which are Class A misdemeanors.

Police said the alleged victims in the case are employees. While the arrest warrant affidavit containing details of the allegations is sealed, public court records show three victims allege misconduct on seven different occasions, between Sept. 1, 2012, and Jan. 26.

Fowler is free after posting a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Sept. 3 in Middletown Superior Court.
