For the eighth consecutive year, Foote Family Charitable Trust awarded summer camp scholarships for campers in Branford Recreation Department programs. This year's grant of $15,000 helped 64 Branford campers attend programs at town parks in July and August.

Created by the late Wallace Foote in 1962, the Foote Trust maintains both Foote Park and Riverside Park. The grant's trustee, Bank of America, N.A., ensures the donor's philanthropic intentions are honored and has supported a number of Branford organizations. This year's Branford Recreation summer camp enrollment numbered 320 campers aged 4 to 12 and more than 100 campers ages 13 to 17.
