Groton police find snake in a tree

Groton — Town Police on Wednesday evening took into custody a snake, reportedly a python, discovered in a tree off Georgia Street.

Lt. James Bee, who was not sure of the snake's size or breed, said officers brought the snake to the town's animal control facility and will attempt to find its rightful owner.
