World's largest container ship

The world's largest container vessel, the Korean-built Majestic Maersk, rises above the seven-story buildings Monday at the quay of Langelinie in Copenhagen. The vessel is 1,300 feet long with a 190-foot beam and can carry 18,000 containers. The ship, one of 20 identical vessels to be built for Maersk, will be christened later this week by Danish Crown Princess Mary and will carry freight between Europe and Asia.
