    Taking a bite out of training in Waterford

    Franco Angelini, a master trainer with the North American Police Work Dog Association, evaluates, from the receiving end, the apprehension training of East Lyme K-9 police officer Mike Jezierski's canine partner "Jimo" Monday at Veterans Park in Waterford. Angelini is leading a K-9 training session for 17 officers from across the state this week in town. Monday's classroom session concluded with Angenlini evaluating the training of a number of the dogs involved in the training. The officers include five who do not have canine partners and are considering a K-9 assignment.
