Hartford (AP) - Connecticut's health insurance marketplace continued to process more applications for coverage Wednesday and the pace is expected to ramp up later this month as certified helpers begin full-fledged community outreach efforts.
As of 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Access Health CT had processed 373 applications since enrollment in the marketplace set up by President Barack Obama's signature health care law began Tuesday.
The marketplace hopes to sign up 100,000 during the open enrollment period, which runs through March 31. Customers must enroll by Dec. 15 for coverage Jan. 1.
About 79,000 visitors came to the marketplace's website over the first two days. The call center, meanwhile, has fielded 3,548 calls.
