Fed nominee Yellen has Pfizer stock in her small portfolio

Janet Yellen, nominated as the next Federal Reserve chairman, owns only nine U.S. stocks directly, and one of them is New York-based Pfizer Inc.

According to the online blog
SeekingAlpha, ownership of Pfizer fits in with Yellen's interest in high-yield, low-risk income stocks. These are stocks that often are recommended for people in the age bracket of Yellen, who is 67.

Individual stocks in Yellen's portfolio make up only about 2 percent of her $8.8 million investment portfolio, according to the blog.

Other Yellen stocks are ConocoPhillips, E.I. du Pont, Office Max, Raytheon, Teradata Corp., Cytec Industries, DIRECTV Group and NCR Corp.
