UConn starts out at No. 18

The Associated Press released its preseaon top 25 poll today. UConn starts out at No. 18.

The Huskies are one of three American Athletic Conference teams in the poll.

Louisville checks in No. 3 and Memphis at No. 13.

UConn's schedule this season also includes a non-conference game against No. 10 Florida.

Kentucky received 27 first place votes and enters the season at No. 1. Michigan State (22) is second while Louisville (14) and Duke (2) are third and fourth, respectively. Kansas is No. 5.

Arizona (No. 6), Michigan (No. 7), Oklahoma State and Syracuse, both tied for 8th, and Florida round out the top 10.

Ohio State, North Carolina, Memphis, Virginia Commonwealth, Gonzaga, Wichita State and Marquett occupy the No. 11 through No. 17 spots.

No. 19 Oregon follows UConn. Wisconsin, Notre Dame, UCLA, New Mexico, Virginia and Baylor complete the poll.
