An open letter to Rep. Courtney and Sens. Blumenthal and Murphy:
Gentlemen, I want to offer my gratitude for supporting the Affordable Care Act. Since its inception my premium has gone from $600 per month to $1,400. This give new meaning to affordable. Of course, according to our president, this makes me part of the 5 percent and thus I do not matter.
I understand that some must sacrifice for the greater good. Of course, like all good socialists, you have the superior intellect and ability to run my wretched life and that is why you and the president have exempted yourselves from Obamacare. Those at the top know better and deserve better.
I only hope you run our health care in same efficient manner as the Post Office and I can expect the same great service as from the Department of Motor Vehicles. And just look at the fiscal health of Social Security.
I am sure you have the ability to make health decisions for me. Don't lawyers know medicine better than doctors? This gives me great confidence in you.
Again, thanks to you and the support of the unbiased press, I am better off now that you will make decisions for me.
Your humble servant.
