UConn to play in 2014 Puerto Rico Tip-Off

 UConn will be part of an eight-team field competing in the 2014 Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

The event will run Nov. 20-23 at Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan.

Other teams competing include Boston College,College of Charleston, George Mason, Dayton, Texas A&M, New Mexico and West Virginia.

UConn will play one game each day in the bracketed-tournament format. The championship game is set for Nov. 23.

It will be UConn’s first time playing in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Previous champions are Oklahoma State(2012), Alabama(2011), Minnesota(2010), Villanova (2009), Xavier (2008) and Miami(2007).
