About 15 students in the advanced culinary classes at New London High School volunteered Tuesday to bag 2,200 cookies that will be sold in the next couple of days to students, staff and faculty at the school to benefit Japan's Relief Fund administered by the American Red Cross.

All ingredients and supplies for the fundraiser, organized by Marcia Crouch, a culinary teacher at the high school, and Donna Vendetto, a former New London High School teacher, were donated so 100 percent of the proceeds will be given to the relief fund.

The fund will help victims of the devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami that killed more than 9,000 and left thousands more missing in Japan.
