Longtime civic and scout leader Ernest Anderson died on Dec. 8. Anderson was legendary across the shoreline for his involvement with local chambers of commerce as a representative of the Shoreline Trolley Museum and scouting—he was chamber district scout coordinator for Boy and Girl Scouts serving Guilford, Madison, Branford, North Branford, and East Haven.
The Madison Chamber of Commerce sent out this note earlier today:
“I am sorry to inform you that Ernie Anderson, long-time member and attendee of the Civic Coordinators group, husband of Pat Anderson of the Madison Art Society and member of the Centershore Government Relations Committee, died Sunday night. There will be a memorial service for him this Saturday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Madison. There will be no calling hours.”
