'Nurses for hire' can't replace the lock-outs

Mr. Bruce Cummings says that 250 "nurses for hire" are doing the same work of 780 "locked out nurses and technicians." You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see the fallacy of that statement.

Mr. Cummings says, "it is too soon to estimate the economic impact of the lockout on the hospital." The 250 "nurses for hire" are costing L+M $160,000 dollars a day plus lodging and transportation, which far exceeds the cost of the 780 nurses and technicians, but the patients are only getting one fourth the coverage.

Before this lockout is over, some patients could die and the families will most likely sue L+M and this additional cost could be in the millions.
