Portion of Shewville Road in Ledyard down to one lane after car accident

Ledyard – Traffic was limited to one lane early Wednesday in the vicinity of 689 Shewville Road after a car struck a utility pole.

No injuries were reported in the one-vehicle accident, which occurred around 6 a.m.

Connecticut Light & Power dispatched a crew to make repairs. None of the utility's customers was affected, a CL&P spokeswoman said.
