Luciano Duffy, a 13-year-old student at Old Saybrook Middle School and 8-year cancer survivor, will be participating in a telethon this Friday, Dec. 20 from 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Haddam-Killingworth High School, alongside Dr. Joe McNamara of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, to help raise money for Camp Rising Sun.
The telethon is part of the 25th annual holiday show put on by Mr. Chuck Lewis' class at Haddam-Killingworth High School. The show will feature Camp Rising Sun campers and their families, as well as camp volunteers and supporters.
During the show, viewers will have the opportunity to call in a pledge that benefits Camp Rising Sun. The show can be seen on the web 24/7 at hktvholidayshow.org, or on Comcast channel 18 in Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex, Chester, Deep River, Durham, Killingworth, and Haddam. On AT&T U-Verse channel 99.
The award-winning production has raised more than $450,000 for various charities over the past 25 years.
