Stonington — Police arrested a 15-year-old male Stonington High School student Wednesday morning after they say he assaulted another male student in the school.

The boy was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace. The victim was brought to Westerly Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released after the 10:51 a.m. incident, police said. Police said they are investigating what led to the assault. Police did not release the names of the students because they are juveniles.

With one week left until Christmas, how does your holiday shopping compare to that of years past?
The holidays aren't the big to-do they used to be, but my family and friends manage to keep the holiday spirit just as much as we used to. If anything, our holidays are less gift-focused than in the past.
I've gotten accustomed to slow financial times and have been budgeting for holiday spending more effectively. I hate to disappoint family at this time of the year.
The holidays have always been stressful. I struggle every year to get all the gifts I plan to give in time.
I don't find myself being as giving to neighbors, charities and those outside of the family, but shopping for my loved ones is as generous as it has been in the past.
I'd be happy to share what my spending has been, but I haven't gotten around to shopping yet. Holiday shopping is always a last minute event for me.
