Pfizer policy to broaden access to clinical trials

Published December 25. 2013 4:00AM

Pfizer Inc. has announced a plan to broaden access to company-sponsored clinical trials.

The new policy will allow researchers new access to trial results at iirsubmission.pfizer.com, calls for Pfizer to publish synopses of clinical trial reports at www.pfizer.com, promises the company will make lay-language summaries of results available and calls for use of a new technology that will allow trial participants to access their own data.

Pfizer said the policy is in keeping with the "Principles for Responsible Data Sharing" report issued earlier this year by the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations.

There is less than a week to go until the registration deadline for assault-style weapons and large capacity magazines. What are your opinions on the mandatory registration and the ban on certain types of weapons?
I am not a gun owner and I will sleep better knowing that we are doing more to keep track of gun ownership in our state.
I am not a gun owner but I feel that these registration requirements and bans infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of those who wish to own weapons.
As a gun owner, I support these registrations and bans. Irresponsible gun owners give a bad name to the rest of us who exercise our Second Amendment rights responsibly. Guns are only as safe as the people who own them.
As a gun owner, I will be registering my weapons. Whether I agree with the reasoning behind it or not, the threat of a minimum of one year in prison for violations is enough incentive for me to comply.
As a gun owner, I feel these mandatory registrations and the bans infringe upon my rights. I am a responsible citizen and I will be exercising my Second Amendment rights by refusing to comply with these mandates.
I am a gun owner but I do not have any guns that will require registration.
