State police arrest 18 for drunken driving over Christmas holiday

State police issued 301 speeding tickets and arrested 18 people for drunken driving over the Christmas holiday.

Troopers patroled roads and highways across the state between Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon, focusing on drunken driving violations and aggressive driving.

State police reported no fatal car accidents. There were, however, 249 car crashes, 28 of which were reported with injuries.

State police also ticketed four people for seat belt violations and issued another 601 moving violation citations
