Grebe search in Old Saybrook

Rebecca and John Ogren of Old Saybrook train their eyepieces Monday onto the Connecticut River off Saybrook Point, looking for a red-necked grebe. John spotted the bird Sunday afternoon while looking for a snowy owl and came back Monday to try to get a photo. He said the last time he'd seen a red-necked grebe in the area was eight years ago.
