Norwich – A seven-week family-strengthening program aimed at reducing problem behaviors, delinquency, and alcohol and drug abuse in children, improve social skills and school performance will begin Feb. 26 at the Rose City Senior Center.
This program is especially effective for youths soon transitioning to middle school – ages 9 to 13 and early middle school and their parents. The program features seven 2 ½ hour sessions from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning Feb. 26.
Parents and their children can enroll together. The program is free and dinner will be served. Participants must register in advance. The program is co-sponsored by Norwich Youth and Family Services and the University of Connecticut Cooperative Extension System.
