Westerly Hospital to host heart health education program

Westerly -- In honor of National Heart Month, The Westerly Hospital is offering a free community education program on heart health, “Taking Your Heart to Heart,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 20 at the hospital's Henry J. Nardone Conference Center.

Participants will be encouraged to understand their own risk factors and the many lifestyle changes that can lower risk for heart disease. The hospital's cardiac rehabilitation staff will share information about a new cardiac risk factor reduction program at the hospital, and the hospital's pharmacy staff will share important information about heart medications.
