Hebron – State police are investigating a robbery this morning at the Savings Institute Bank and Trust at 115 Main St.
Shortly before 9:30 a.m., state police said a man entered the bank and presented a note to a bank teller and demanded money. A weapon was implied by not shown.
Police said the man is about 6 feet tall with a thin build and light-colored goatee. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark colored jeans and a tan coat over the sweatshirt. The coat has a lapel-type collar and a zip front. He also was wearing a green or gray winter hat and dark sun glasses.
The man fled from the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, most likely to an awaiting vehicle. He also was described as wearing white colored Nike Cortez brand sneakers with a blue Nike swoosh.
Detectives with the state police Eastern District Major Crime Squad have processed the scene, collected physical and forensic evidence and interviewed several witnesses.
