Slick roads causing accidents on I-95, Route 12

State and local police are reporting numerous car accidents as the snow is making the roads very slick and slippery.

A rollover was reported on Interstate 95 North just prior to Exit 73. A state police dispatcher said to expect delays in the area. It is unclear whether anyone was injured in that accident

Another accident was reported on Route 12 in the area of Crystal Lake Road in Groton. Minor injuries were reported in that accident.

The National Weather Service said that rain and snow showers would continue until 4 p.m. before changing over entirely to rain. Total daytime snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible, the weather service said.
