Edward J. Pollack, 86, of East Haven, husband of Rose V. Gorski Pollack, died Feb. 10 at home surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born Nov. 8, 1927 in New Haven, a son of the late George Polak and Agnes Janeczek Polak Rak.
He worked as an accountant for Metro-North Railroad for 39 years before retiring.
He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church; a member of the Holy Name Society, and Polish Falcons Nest 81. Ed was a UConn Basketball fan and enjoyed trips to the casino.
Loving father of Cheryl (Richard) Hawley, Carolyn (Pasquale A.) Castaldo, and Deborah (John Kuziel) Stowe; and grandfather of Anna Castaldo and the late Edward B. and Christopher J. Stowe. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Davis; and brothers Frank and Anthony Pollack.
Funeral from the Lupinski Funeral Home, Inc., 821 State Street, Saturday, Feb. 22 at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Stanislaus Church at 10 a.m. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
