Man arrested after domestic violence incident

Norwich — Police arrested a Greeneville man on several charges following a domestic violence incident shortly after midnight Saturday morning.

Tyrill Groomes, 30, of 77 Fourth St. was charged at 12:09 a.m. with first-degree unlawful restraint, third-degree assault and criminal attempt to commit first-degree sexual assault. He was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Monday in Norwich Superior Court.

Police Capt. Patrick Daley said police are not releasing further information to protect the identity of the victim.
