It's difficult to believe that two years into his term Mayor Finzio is so quick to explain away his failure to lead this city by blaming past administrations, business owners and voters who object to continued tax raises, "Hard winter, city hall frustrate NL merchants," (Feb. 23).
If the city was so "wrecked" when he ran for mayor then perhaps the mayor should have left governing this wreck to someone more capable. It's distressing to have a leader so quick to blame everyone but himself and his administration for his government's continued failures. We have a mayor ducking for cover and whining that the sad state of affairs that is New London is not his fault. I can only hope we survive the next two years of this inept administration.
