Norwich -- One-on-one consultation sessions with agricultural professionals will be offered Friday, March 7 at the New London County Extension Center, 562 New London Turnpike.
Topics that can be discussed include crop insurance, estate planning and farm transfer, farm business and marketing, agricultural land use regulations and taxation programs, transitioning to organic product and farm labor issues.
There is no cost for the sessions, but appointments are required. Sessions are available from 9 to 10 a.m; 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.; 1:15 to 2:15 p.m., and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The sessions are sponsored by the University of Connecticut’s Department of Agriculture and National Resources Extension Center; the state Department of Agriculture; and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency.
