Art is subjective, which is how we explain why some people buy Thomas Kinkade prints and others write 700-page textbooks on why a six-foot square canvas of monochromatic beige is the greatest artistic statement the world has ever known. Hedge your bets with variety!

On Sunday the Six Summit Gallery presents a new exhibition, "Farm, Winery, Bistro," at Chamard Vineyards in Clinton; the show opens with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. "Farm, Winery, Bistro," features 100 works from 30 artists - many of whom are from Connecticut - and includes five sculptures and four prints from the late, renowned William Kent. Also on display, shown here, is "Provence Vineyard" by Sally Jesse Raphael (yes, THAT Sally Jesse Raphael).

Chamard Vineyards is at 115 Cow Hill Road, Clinton. The exhibit is ongoing. RSVP recommended to attend opening reception; (860) 664-0299, chamard.com.
