Norwich — Norwich police arrested two men on heroin possession charges Friday following the discovery of 30 bags of heroin in a vehicle, police said.

George Kinney, 31, of 19 Jerome Road in Uncasville, and Kyle Hair, 33, of 79 Hunters Ave. in Taftville were each charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell.

Police said the arrest by patrol officers occurred about 5:20 p.m. when the two men were confronted while in a car in the parking lot of Goodwill off Salem Turnpike.

Kinney was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and Hair a $10,000 bond.

Kinney’s Uncasville home was the target of a raid by state and local authorities last month where police said they seized 40 packets of heroin, prescription drug bottles belonging to other people and $3,669 in cash. That case is pending.
