An untraditional career

Butcher Zahra Shokouhi, center, works at her shop Tuesday in downtown Tehran, Iran. Shokouhi, 45, a mother of three girls, learned butchery - a job held traditionally by men in Iranian society - from her husband and by working alongside him. She has surprised many passers-by in the last 12 years while working in their shop in a conservative district south of Tehran.
