Faeries and children invited to tea

Published March 15. 2014 4:00AM

Children of all ages are invited to the Faery Tea Party and Children's Fashion Show this Sunday at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London. The afternoon tea will begin at 1 p.m. in the museum's library and run until 3:30 p.m.

Following tea and light desserts, children are invited to take part in a fashion show in the museum's auditorium. L'Ana Burton's dance students also will perform. The afternoon will conclude with arts and crafts projects; participants will create treasure boxes and tissue paper flowers in the art studio.

Author Amy Crockett and illustrator Paula C. Scott will be available to sign copies of their children's book "The Thread Faery."

The event is $15 per adult/child pair and $5 for each additional guest. Reservations are required by calling (860) 443-2545, ext. 129, or via email at info@lymanallyn.org.
