Norwich man charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell

Norwich — A motor vehicle stop on Saturday led police to arrest a man who they believe intended to sell heroin, according to a statement from the Norwich Police Department.

Jose Rivera, 42, of 42 Fountain St., Apt. B, Norwich, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell.

Police said they seized cash and 200 bags of heroin after stopping Rivera downtown. Rivera was released on a $10,000 bond and will be arraigned at Norwich Superior Court on April 4.
