New Haven Academy of Performing Arts Opens!

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!

BILLY DICROSTA AND NEIL FUENTES (FOOD NETWORK CHOPPED

COMPETITOR) OPEN THE NEW HAVEN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS!

New Haven, CT, (March 28th 2014) - Long time New Haven Residents, Singers,

Actors and Chefs Billy DiCrosta and Neil Fuentes opened the doors to New

Haven Academy of Performing Arts, an academy that will be teaching voice

lessons with an innovative technique called MIX, created by the internationally

recognized company IVTOM, piano and acting.

The Academy opened its doors on March 15th 2014, with a cocktail reception hosted by the duo and attended by parents, students and friends of the new academy

The Academy is located in Morris Cove at 20 Orchard Ave in New Haven.

Billy and Neil, long time performers, realized that MIX is the best way of singing,

as this technique will give students the ability to not only sing all genres but also

to protect the vocal chords because MIX is the healthiest way of singing.

Famous singers like Adelle and Julie Andrews had to undergo surgery to repair

nodules in their vocal chords, which are the result of excessive belting and other

erroneous techniques you can incur when you are an inexperienced singer. This

technique would avoid those problems in a short and long term, DiCrosta states.

The Academy is open all year around and it is accepting new students

Neil and Billy are better known as The Singing Chefs in the popular TV show Connecticut Style on New Havenメs WTNH Channel 8. Billy has been performing since the age of 7 ,studied Vocal Performance and Theater at WESTCONN and

is the only teacher in CT currently recognized as a full member teacher by IVTOM. Neil was the lead singer for a local Salsa Band Sonido Libre in addition to his participation in several national cooking shows including Food Network

    Chopped among others!
