The Connecticut Supreme Court has taken the ridiculous position that owners of domestic animals must somehow protect the public from them. Any domestic animal can, under the right circumstances, inflict harm to the unwary. In the case of a horse, because of its size, the risk is even greater. The public has gotten along without this protection since the beginning of this country. I do not see why it is now necessary to burden owners with this new duty to protect the public. Is there no one left with any common sense?
