New London—A woman was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries early this evening following an accident at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Willetts Avenue, according to fire department Battalion Chief Keith Nichols.

Firefighters and emergency personnel were called to the two-car accident at 5:30 p.m. The accident caused damage to the front ends of both cars and the woman had to be extricated because the driver’s side door would not open. He said the other driver did not suffer any injuries. Nichols did not know what caused the accident.
