Norwich – A conference on human trafficking will be held May 15 at the Norwich Free Academy with guest speakers discussing how the issue affects families in eastern Connecticut.
The conference will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sidney Frank Center at NFA and is co-sponsored by Norwich Human Services and the League of Women Voters of Southeastern Connecticut.
Speakers will be state Sen. Cathy Osten, D-Sprague, William Rivera, director of multicultural affairs and immigration at the state Department of Children and Families, Krystal Ambrozaitis, case manager for the International Institution of Anti-Human Trafficking and Kelly Coull, NFA women’s studies teacher.
The event is free and light refreshments will be served.
