Mystic Aquarium penguin chicks take a swim

"Purple/Blue," one of the three newest members to the Mystic Aquarium's African penguin exhibit, dives under the water during the first public appearance for the three penguin chicks at the aquarium Tuesday.

The three penguin chicks hatched in late January as part of the Species Survival Plan and have been cared for by their parents and staff trainers. Tuesday was their introduction to the penguin exhibit space and their first open swim.
