The Day nominated for seven Boston/New England Emmy Awards

The Day has been nominated for seven Boston/New England Emmy Awards for videos published in 2013.

The live GameDay webcast of the New London-Middletown football game was nominated in the live sporting event category. Director of Multimedia Peter Huoppi was nominated for two individual awards in the photographer-short form and video journalist categories, and was nominated along with reporter Rick Koster in the arts and entertainment report category.

Multimedia Journalist Carlos Diaz was nominated for general assignment report and arts and entertainment report. The Kidsploration children's program was nominated in the children/youth category.

The awards will be announced at a ceremony June 7 in Boston. Huoppi has won two previous Boston/New England Emmys at The Day.
