Montville — State and local police Thursday evening were investigating reports of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle on Route 32 in the area of Fort Shantok Road.

The incident was reported shortly after 9 p.m., when emergency medical crews were sent with police to the scene. An emergency dispatcher from state police Troop C in Tolland, which handles calls from the Troop E area, said it was too early to provide any details.

A portion of Route 32 was temporarily closed to traffic. No further information was available late Thursday.
