Mentorship program to help veterans find work

The Military Affairs Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut recently launched a new networking mentorship program to help local veteran students connect with potential employers.

Working in partnership with the University of Connecticut, chamber members will host veterans who are nearing graduation from UConn and looking to network in eastern Connecticut and the chamber will give participating students free access to Business After Hours events and a mentor from the local business community.

Chamber members who want to volunteer as a networking mentor should email Ashlee Donovan at adonovan@chamberect.com. Students at the Avery Point campus who want to participate should email Martha Young at martha.young@uconn.edu and students at the Storrs campus should email Kris Perry at kristopher.perry@uconn.edu.
