Cleanup, gardening planned for Saturday at Norwich dog park

Norwich – A spring cleanup and garden planting session will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Estelle Cohn Memorial Dog Park in memory of park co-founder Ann Miller, who died a year ago.

Janet Marciniak, who served on the committee that planned and raised money for the park, has organized Saturday’s effort to clean the gardens and plant butterfly attracting plants outside the park entrance.

Participants are asked to bring hand garden tools and gloves. Anyone bringing a dog is asked to have someone supervise the dog during the work session.

Marciniak said she has purchased several butterfly attracting plants in Miller's memory to plant at the park. Others are invited to bring flowering plants as well.

For information, contact Marciniak at (860) 861-2554.
