Flanked by Emcee Darren Kramer of WTNH News 8 and Superintendent of Schools Paul Freeman, team Guilford Full Day Kindergarten (FDK) members Julie Goodwin, Victoria Su, and Jennifer Silva celebrate their victory at the Guilford Fund for Education's (GFFE) 8th annual Adult Spelling Bee, held last Friday night at Guilford High School. The winning word? Unami.
Teams competed in swarms for the "Best of the Hive" trophy, with many also attempting to win the "Best Costume" prize by arriving in creative garb. Funds raised by the GFFE during the event are used to provide grants to students, teachers, and non-profits in Guilford that support projects, programs, and initiatives that foster innovation and excellence in education.
