    Tolksdorf plans to transfer

Sophomore Leon Tolksdorf, a reserve forward from Berlin, Germany, plans to transfer to American University in Washington, D.C.

In recent weeks, Tolksdorf had been exploring transfer possibilities. UConn officially announced his decision today.

He saw limited action for the Huskies during the national championship season, appearing 24 games and averaging just 1.5 points and 0.8 rebounds in 5.3 minutes per game.

"I have enjoyed two unforgettable years at UConn and I am proud to have been part of the Husky family," Tolksdorf said in a released statement. "I never thought I would call Storrs a second home, but being at UConn and knowing my teammates has had a huge impact on me. At the same time, I am also excited to accept this new challenge in my life.:

Here's what coach Kevin Ollie had to say about Tolksdorf: "Leon did everything we asked him to do at UConn, on the court and in the classroom. He came to practice every day ready to work hard and push his teammates to improve.

"He was a big part of our winning the national championship. We wish him the best of luck as he moves on."
