Just keep saying no until spending stops

In this bad economic climate, now is the time for town and city residents to question their yearly budgets presented to them. And in my opinion, vote no until wasteful spending is taken out. Don't allow your officials to tax you out of your homes and properties because they want to spend.

For example, my town of Preston: I understand there is a hospital property bus tour, with maps and everything, for town residents coming up in June. This is a waste and liability. Talk of grants given for more demolition; how can you complete this work with people all over the property? I also understand the National Guard and F.B.I. will be conduction training at the hospital site in May.

How then, can you claim, First Selectman Congdon, it is being cleaned up? Why should the townspeople be taxed so all others have use of this property?
