The VFW can also defray the costs of vehicle repairs, maintenance or disabled-access renovations of veterans’ homes.

The VFW Post can be reached by contacting any of the following members: John Donnelly, Adjutant at j.donnelly@snet.net, or 860-964-0876; Tim Griswold, Senior Vice Commander at timothygriswold@yahoo.com or 860-434-9111; or Ed Shyloski, Veterans Services Officer at 05ecsjret@gmail.com or 860-917-7152.

“We know there are needy veterans in the Lyme-Old Lyme area because we have stepped in to help many so far these past years,” wrote Commander Andy Brennan (adeeandy@aol.com or 860-434-4207) in a letter to Lyme-Old Lyme residents. “Please call upon us when you think you have found a veteran or veteran family member in distress who we can help by providing services to meet their needs. Their privacy will be kept paramount.”
