Montville – State police say continuing renovations have delayed the reopening of the firearm permitting office at the state police barracks in Montville.
Originally scheduled to reopen in May following renovations that began in April, state police said in a statement Friday that they now anticipate the office reopening in mid-June.
Through the week ending June 16, 2014, residents may go to State Police Headquarters, at 1111 Country Club Road in Middletown, or to State Police Troop G in Bridgeport, at 149 Prospect St., for permitting.

For questions, residents may contact the Special Licensing and Firearms Unit at (860) 685-8494.
