Ledyard — An 18-year-old Lisbon teenager was arrested Saturday after police said he used a pellet gun to shoot a parked car in the area of Pumpkin Hill Road.
Mathew Moore, of 526 River Road, was charged with weapons in a motor vehicle, second-degree criminal mischief, breach of peace and first-degree reckless endangerment. An unidentified 17-year-old was also arrested on the same charges.
Police said at about 8:05 p.m. they received a report that a parked car was struck by a pellet gun from a moving vehicle traveling on Pumpkin Hill Road. The victim contacted police and followed the car.
Once police stopped the car, the juvenile passenger fled and Moore was taken into custody. A state police K-9 found the juvenile a short distance away.
Moore was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on May 23. The juvenile is scheduled to appear at a later date at Juvenile Court in Waterford.
