UPDATED: Metro-North New Haven line service restored

New York (AP) — Metro-North Railroad says service has been restored in both directions on the New Haven line.

It had been suspended earlier Friday between Stamford, Connecticut, and Harrison, New York.

Riders can expect delays of 30 to 60 minutes.

The suspension was caused by a downed overhead catenary electric line that blocked three of four tracks in the vicinity of Cos Cob, Connecticut.

The wire supplies propulsion power to the trains.
