Old Lyme High School dominated the Connecticut Public Schools Rowing Association State Championships on Sunday, capturing four gold medals and winning the W. Hart Perry Jr. Trophy for the highest points total among racing fours.
In the process, the Wildcats qualified four boats for the National Scholastic Rowing Championships to be held next month in Saratoga, N.Y.
Old Lyme captured the boys' first varsity four, the girls' first varsity four, the boys' second varsity four and the girls' second varsity four.
Following is a list of team members: Boys' varsity four - Liam Corrigan, Tom Crisp (coxswain), Phillip Hallwood, Graham Richartz and Josh Swanski; girls' varsity four - Honor Clements, Christiana Congdon, Hanna Debruyn (coxswain), Isabelle Foster and Hannah Paynter; boys' second varsity four - Harry Godfrey-Fogg, Brandon Green, Peter Fuchs, Julia Morrison (coxswain) and Jacob Olsen; and girls' varsity four - Kaetlin Kolar, Ella Pilgrim, Kathleen Stedman (coxswain), Hannah Wilczewski and Hattie Wilczewski (girls' 2nd boat).
The Wildcats, coached by Louis Zubek, John Laundon, Brian Schuch and Ed McCusker, will compete in the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championships next weekend in Worcester, Mass.
